How to cope with racism?

My baby is Indigenous Australian. Indigenous Australians are 2.5% of the population here and the majority know little of both historical and contemporary Indigenous experience. I want my baby to be proud of his heritage but white Australia still seems hell bent on imilation. His loving Aboriginal family cannot replace the approval of the majority.
