If they claim the hills and laguna beach arent fake than how did they end up on tv?

I don't think any of these people knew each other in the beginning. They were all cast for the show to be friends and then they are given different scenarios to react to. I have only seen the show a few times late at night and I don't think that Audrina is smart enough to act her way out of a paper bag. It seems very scripted in how they want the storylines to go. So, to me it looks like a "reality show" that was cast with different people who didn't know each other in the beginning and built relationships throughout the process. Also note that it has been said these girls do not work for these fashion places. They go there to film their scenes and that's it. People who work at these places have stated they are not employees.
